We won a case against a Japanese company regarding forced labor during the Japanese occupation, and the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the case by a plurality of the Supreme Court, and in a 4-3 decision, we requested a retrial in the absence of a verdict and received a decision to open a retrial. Not only what our government did wrong, but also what the Japanese did wrong is state violence, so of course victims and bereaved families have the right to demand an apology and receive compensation. We will work to ensure that such state violence will never happen in this land in the future.
